Trades of Hope Sale

Have you heard of Trades of Hope?

It’s a company that partners with people all over the world (and right here in the United States) in an effort to empower them out of poverty and desperate circumstances.  These artisans are taught how to handcraft various items that are then sold in the United States.  The artisans are paid fair wages, according to Fair Trade practices (in fact, they are paid what they ask!).  They are also given the skills to build sustainable businesses for themselves, their families, and their communities.  Currently, Trades of Hope partners with artisans in the following countries:

Right now Trades of Hope has a few items on sale which will be discontinued as soon as they are sold out.  You don’t want to miss this great deal, all the while helping others all over the world!

The Indian Ribbon Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  By creating these handmade products, the Indian artisans not only escape poverty, but they are getting job training so they can become self-reliant and independent. In addition to the sustainable business that comes from crafting products, these artisans are receiving welfare programs, training activities as well as crafts promotion and producer development. And for most, they are getting healthcare and education for their children for the first time in their lives!

The Exodus Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  The Indian artisans who make this necklace focus on providing education for the neediest children in their community. They have worked hard to raise enough funds to establish a school so that parents in their poor community won’t have to choose between working to provide basic needs for their families or sending their children to school. This group has given work to a multitude of women without sacrificing their desire for their children to have a bright and promising future.

Finally, the Glory Rose Gold necklace is a limited edition, on sale for $28.00.  Originally made with simple gold beading, the Indian Artisans have added the rose gold option, a beautiful choice.  They won’t last long, so get one before they’re gone!

Any of these pieces would make a perfect Mother’s Day, graduation, or birthday gift.  And you will feel great knowing that your purchase helped provide jobs, clothing, food, shelter, education, and safety for those suffering around the world.

Contact me if you’d like to know more about Trades of Hope and how you can get involved.  I’d love to talk to you about this wonderful company and the various charities and initiatives they partner with in addition to the artisans they are already impacting.

Happy savings,

Kim

Yankees and Mets Fans! (And you SF Giants fans on the West coast too ;) )

Here’s a little post dedicated (mostly) to my East Coasters.  I saw this deal on Groupon today and I couldn’t let it pass by without spreading the love to all of you!

Now anyone who knows us know that we named our first born Jeter.  That’s right, Jeter.  Our second is Jackson.  So you can say we’re pretty big fans of the NYY and all things east coast.  Even though we live on the opposite side of America today, we still “bleed blue.”  I remember going to my first Yankees game with my dad (a New Yorker, through and through) and loving the experience.  Since then I’ve been to several games and hope to take my boys to a game on the East Coast sometime in the future.

As jealous as I am of you who have the opportunity to go, I have to give you guys the heads up on these great ticket prices!

Yankees fans, here you go! Dates April 13-28, tickets starting at $27.80 a pop!

Mets more your speed? Choose a game on April 23rd or 24th with tickets starting at $14.  I won’t even bad mad at you for going to a Mets game simply because this deal is too good to pass up.  Click here to take advantage of it!

Ebates offers 6% cashback plus 20% off local.

TopCashBack offers 10% cashback but only if you’re a new Groupon customer (i.e. you don’t have a Groupon account yet) or 5% cashback if you’re an existing customer.

Choose the cashback deal that’s best for you.

Ok and fine, here’s some SF Giants games that you can score a good deal on as well. Starting at $10, who could say no? Games April 11th-15th.  Hurry because these deals won’t last!

Newest Coupons!

So everyone in my house is sick.  Everyone including my Macbook which is devastating because now I’m working on this old Dell from like 1980 (I exaggerate, but still) and it takes me 5 years to load ad page (again, exaggeration) and 12 more to link photos.  So, there’s no photos with this post, I’ll just keep it old school and list some of the great new coupons available to you on Coupons.com.

I got an email this morning and needed to share with you (I’ve been trying to write this post since 6 am. It’s now 8:15).  I can’t blame it all on this dinosaur of a computer.  A lot of it had to do with my oldest kid trying to inflate his brother with a bicycle tire pump (my husband was in charge for a few minutes this morning) and cleaning up the snot trails my littlest has lovingly left all over my house.

Anyway, here’s your newest household coupons.  You’re welcome 😉

Scrubbing Bubbles (a ton of varieties and different ways to save)

Windex

All Detergent

Quilted Northern Toilet Paper

Glad trash bags

Kleenex

And many many more.  Click here to have them loaded and ready to print for your next grocery outing.  Hopefully it’s solo (one can only dream) because as we speak my biggest is trying to climb into the oven.  Good thing it’s not on…. am I right?

Happy savings,

Kim

Plan and Decorate Birthdays With Ease and SAVE!

Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 8.52.27 AM

Have you guys heard of Birthday in a Box?  Well I’m really glad I discovered this little gem so I can keep it in my back pocket for my kids’ birthday next year (they’re 1 year and 3 days apart. When I said “busy momma” I wasn’t lying).

I see all these beautiful pinterest worthy parties that my friends throw and I’m really in awe.  Everything I try to create from pinterest belongs on the pinterest fail site. There has to be a better (and less embarrassing) way, right?  I mean pretty soon my kids are going to be big enough where the sad little streamers taped to the ceiling and the dollar store table cloth with holes recycled from last year just aren’t going to cut it.

Birthday in a Box

So here you have a company that takes all the shopping, planning, creativity and decoration out of the equation.  So you can focus on more important things, like who’s going to be offended they weren’t invited, and when to schedule the parties around naptimes, school drop offs, and the one billion other kiddie birthday parties that have filled up your social calendar (when did my kids social lives become more exciting than my own?).

For all you first birthday-er’s, here’s a sampling of themes they offer.  There are several more.  All you do is click on the theme you want, and you’re taken to various different items they have to make sure your party is Mickey-licious or brimming with Bubble Guppies.   Because who doesn’t need party favors for 1 year olds… ? Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 9.28.09 AM.png

Click here: BIRTHDAY IN A BOX – BIRTHDAYINABOX.COM

I have little boys so here’s a sampling of the boy’s birthday supply categories (there are literally hundreds more). Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 9.34.47 AM.png

Once you click on a category or theme you like, you’re taken to this page, which has EVERYTHING you need to complete your party (well everything minus the copious amounts of alcohol for the adults who have to sit through yet ANOTHER themed birthday party… #AmIRight?)

Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 9.35.12 AM

Little girls have the same option. Here’s a look:

Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 9.37.18 AM.png

Want a Moana theme? Here’s the fun little subcategories to complete your princess’s little Luau:

Screen Shot 2017-04-05 at 9.37.27 AM

And right now, you can get 20% off with code: SW20 and $40 in free personalization on orders over $100.00.

And you didn’t think I was going to close this out without getting your cashback, right? Right now Ebates is running a better cashback offering than TopCashBack.  Get your 10% off party supplies at Ebates here!

Although birthday parties are the majority of offerings here, they have a party in a box for other occassions like Halloween, baby showers, Christmas, Communions, Graduation, and pretty much any other party you can imagine.

So here’s to party season coming into full swing!

Happy savings,

Kim

Gymboree & Crazy 8 Sale

Gymboree Sale On Now!

I would be a terrible mommy blogger if I let my kid’s double case of bronchitis and a family medical issue back east stop me from letting you all know about this Gymboree sale.

EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is marked down to $14.99 and under at Gymboree, some things starting at $2.99! That’s right, $2.99! Are you kidding?  If you know kid’s clothes, you know Gymboree is one of the premier brands, and can get kind of pricey.  This deal is JUST in time for that Easter outfit you’ve been putting off buying (or is that just me?).  They have newborn through children size 12 for your Easter matching outfits needs (again, just me?)

AND GET FREE SHIPPING WITH CODE: SUNSHIP.

Click the graphic above or here to see the savings at Gymboree.

Don’t forget your Ebates (unfortunately TopCashBack doesn’t carry this site) for your 1% back. It doesn’t sound like much but trust me, if you use your cashback sites every time you shop online, you will be getting bigger and bigger checks.  My next check from Ebates will be around $150 for the past quarter.  That will be put aside for Christmas gifts for the kids and hubby this December (yes, I start planning this early).  Don’t forget to click here to sign up for Ebates.

Crazy 8 Sale On Now!
Here’s another store that I had never heard of until I moved to this part of California – Crazy 8.  It’s a sister store of Gymboree, but priced slightly lower.  Right now everything in their store is up to 75% off and free shipping on everything, no code needed (for a limited time).  50% off those Easter outfits that you haven’t bought yet (still just me?)  They’re also running a $10 pool party on selected bathing suits and $10 PJ party.  Don’t miss out on this and as always, Ebates will give you 1% cashback.

Click the graphic above or here to see the savings at Crazy 8.

Mothers Day or Graduation Gift Box Savings

Mother’s Day is not too far off and graduation season is almost upon us.  Why not pick up a few gifts to get out of the way before we get into the swing of summer season!

Right now, Trades of Hope is offering this gorgeous handcrafted wooden box with 3 different pieces of jewelry for only $90.  That’s a HUGE value, and it will absolutely be a hit with your mother, daughter, graduate, or anyone else who might have a birthday coming up.

With each purchase, Trades of Hope will donate a baby blanket to a child in need.  These will help the child maintain health and comfort.

SpringGiftSet_FBGraphic2.jpg

What I absolutely love about Trades of Hope is that the company seeks to empower women out of poverty.  Each handcrafted item is made by a woman in desperate circumstances over seas and right here in the United States.  The company employs fairtrade principles (they are part of the Fair Trade Federation) and pay the artisans their asking price.  Then, the pieces are sold here in the United States.

I’d love for you to be introduced to this amazing brand.  Comment below if you’re interested.

Click here to get these gift boxes before they’re gone! The sale goes through the middle of May 🙂 (Simply “x” out of the box that asks to add to a party, you don’t need to).

Happy Savings,

Kim

Save on Picky Toddler Foods

Picky toddler? It’s incredible to me how so much can change in such a short time. My oldest (who is 2 now) used to eat everything. And I mean, EVERYTHING. Grilled chicken, baked salmon, pork chops, every vegetable, you name it. He loved it all. Now I’m lucky if I can get him to eat anything other than fruit snacks, yogurt, chicken nuggets, and macaroni and cheese. And he’s even refused the macaroni and cheese a few times.

Do you feel guilty when your kid doesn’t eat the way you know they should? Do you give in to their “hunger strikes” as well call them in this house? I know I do. Especially when my husband is traveling and it’s just me here, manning the kitchen against two children who seem to be allergic to anything nutritious like a fruit or vegetable. No such thing as man on man defense when my husband travels. It’s full on zone defense and I often lose. (Is it basketball season? Baseball season? Mommy time out season?!)

Luckily, I am able to feed them the best of some of the processed foods. Thank you Annie’s products. They are organic, made with wholesome ingredients, and I don’t feel THAT bad about the fact that my kids prefer to eat food from a box rather than the home cooked meals I still make in vain (and devour after they go to bed).

Annie’s foods can get pricey, especially when it’s a staple in your home. So here’s a few coupons to help you out.

Save $0.50 on Annie’s Organic Yogurt.

Save $0.50 on 1 carton of Annie’s Organic Soup

Save $1.00 on 2 packages of Annie’s Snacks

Save $1.00 on 2 packages of Annie’s Mac & Cheese

Click here to have these coupons clipped and printable.

Good luck with your toddler meals…and may your coffee be stronger than your toddler.  Speaking of coffee, it’s about that time to reheat mine for the 500th time today.

How To Save On Cell Phone Purchases

Cells phones are expensive, right?

A necessary evil.  We upgrade and wind up either paying hundreds up front or pay hundreds over time.  Even with a trade-in, you’re still paying a lot.  And forget it if you don’t have insurance and you need to buy one while you’re still in contract…

So I have a way you can save every time you need a new phone (or accessories, or add a line, or pretty much anything you can do instore).  Buy online.  And go through TopCashBack.

You can get up to $100 back just for buying your phone online directly from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or TMobile (you can often chat with the service representatives to make sure you’re getting the best deal, etc.)

We buy everything else online, why not our cell phones?!  Why not go to TopCashBack first – it takes 1 minute to login, find the store, and click “Get Cashback Now.”  I’d say that’s worth $100 right?

Check it out:

Verizon – $100 cashback

AT&T – $100 cash back

Sprint – $75 cash back

T Mobile – $75 cashback

And there are still great deals on accessories for your phone or tablets as well! Adding lines can get you cashback too!
