Trades of Hope Sale

Have you heard of Trades of Hope?

It’s a company that partners with people all over the world (and right here in the United States) in an effort to empower them out of poverty and desperate circumstances.  These artisans are taught how to handcraft various items that are then sold in the United States.  The artisans are paid fair wages, according to Fair Trade practices (in fact, they are paid what they ask!).  They are also given the skills to build sustainable businesses for themselves, their families, and their communities.  Currently, Trades of Hope partners with artisans in the following countries:

Right now Trades of Hope has a few items on sale which will be discontinued as soon as they are sold out.  You don’t want to miss this great deal, all the while helping others all over the world!

The Indian Ribbon Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  By creating these handmade products, the Indian artisans not only escape poverty, but they are getting job training so they can become self-reliant and independent. In addition to the sustainable business that comes from crafting products, these artisans are receiving welfare programs, training activities as well as crafts promotion and producer development. And for most, they are getting healthcare and education for their children for the first time in their lives!

The Exodus Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  The Indian artisans who make this necklace focus on providing education for the neediest children in their community. They have worked hard to raise enough funds to establish a school so that parents in their poor community won’t have to choose between working to provide basic needs for their families or sending their children to school. This group has given work to a multitude of women without sacrificing their desire for their children to have a bright and promising future.

Finally, the Glory Rose Gold necklace is a limited edition, on sale for $28.00.  Originally made with simple gold beading, the Indian Artisans have added the rose gold option, a beautiful choice.  They won’t last long, so get one before they’re gone!

Any of these pieces would make a perfect Mother’s Day, graduation, or birthday gift.  And you will feel great knowing that your purchase helped provide jobs, clothing, food, shelter, education, and safety for those suffering around the world.

Contact me if you’d like to know more about Trades of Hope and how you can get involved.  I’d love to talk to you about this wonderful company and the various charities and initiatives they partner with in addition to the artisans they are already impacting.

Happy savings,

I'm an attorney licensed in New York and New Jersey. Growing up, I thought I would always be on the career path, maybe have a kid, but continue working until I reached the top. When I met my husband, my priorities shifted in a way I never thought possible. I moved away from NYC, starting working less, got married, got pregnant and had a baby. Then my husband's job relocated us across the country and guess what? We found out we were pregnant again. So, I'm a stay at home mom to two kids 12 months apart, and really learning how to stretch a buck. Come join me while I teach you some of my favorite savings tips and show you some great deals along the way!

  2. This is the first time that I’m hearing about Trades of Hope and I’m glad I did because the cause that they’re promoting is something I believe in. Bless the people behind Trades of Hope for wanting & for helping people all over the world have a sustainable living. I find that’s really important instead of giving something immediate but with no value.

  3. What a beautiful project, one that’s very close to my heart. It’s nice that they’re supplying for these countries and giving the people a chance to earn for a living. I think these are lovely products as well.
