Need an extra $100? Who doesn’t right?

Hello hello! We are finally back from Disney World and let me tell you something.  We will NOT be returning any time soon.  The amount of $$ spent hardly justifies the brief excitement my oldest son got from riding the bus to Magic Kingdom and the monorail over to Epcot.

To begin, both kids slept through Magic Kingdom – the entire walk around.  Then, my oldest hated the lifesize characters.  I believe his exact words were “GO AWAY! MOMMY NOOO!” as he jumped frantically into my arms.  I mean, I guess it’s good that Disney World has completely revamped their character greetings since I was a kid – now you have to make a fastpass appointment to even have a hope of meeting all the characters and taking photos.  They no longer walk around the parks willing to pose or sign autographs.  On the off chance you’re able to schedule a character dinner, be advised that all characters do not show up.  It’s up to the restaurant (and I’m assuming, ultimately DISNEY) as to which characters will be dining with you (and terrifying your children).  But, I digress.

What I really want to talk to you about is the fact that we all find ourselves in need of more $$ from time to time (or all the time), am I right?  Well I just got an email from Ebates letting me know that my $100+ check i on the way.  Yup, just in the nick of time because Disney World wiped us out!

Want your’s?  It’s so easy.  And guys, listen, once you’re a member, you can earn on anyone you refer as well! Up to $25 for referral, just for sharing the greatness that IS Ebates!

Intrigued yet?  How about this for some excitement – right now Ebates is offering up to 15% off at various stores to celebrate their birthday!  Check out the stores here! We’re talking over 200 stores, including: Nike, Saks off 5th, GNC, Coach, HP, Petco, American Eagle, Tarte, Michael Kors, FTD Flowers, JC Penney, Melissa & Doug, 1800 contacts (where I just stocked up and got $77 cashback on my order!) and so many more!

Sign up here and start earning!

Don’t forget to check out TopCashBack as well.  They often have higher cashback values than Ebates, but their referral program is often a little less.  They pay up to $10 per referral, but still worth it for doing exactly what you would be doing anyway – sharing the love for savings!

Happy savings!

Bay Area Family Activities & Discounts!

It’s almost summer (oh my!) and I’m always looking for something fun to do with the whole family.  We all know the Bay Area can be super pricey, so I went on the hunt for some Groupons to use locally.

Oakland Zoo – Up to 30% off!

Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 7.59.52 AM

We’ve been here before when my first was 1 but it was a rainy day and we honestly weren’t that into it (my second had just been born).  I’m looking forward to getting back there with both kiddos and exploring all the different exhibits.  Both of them love animals and making all the noises (which they did on the plane all the way back from NJ, not so cute…)  Click here below for the best deal!

Fairy Land – Oakland – 40% off!

Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 8.01.20 AM

40% off 2 weekday passes! This fairytale themed little amusement park is convenient to get to from the Bay Area and is perfect for littles.  The grounds are small enough that they don’t seem overwhelming for toddlers and stroller-friendly.  My oldest enjoyed the train ride the most.  And did you know that Walt Disney got his inspiration for Disney World after visiting Fairyland?  Keep in mind, it’s a bit old so everything isn’t shiny and new, but for $6 per person, it’s a fun little activity for the day.  Click below to take advantage of the deal!

Bay Area Discovery Museum – Sausalito – up to 46% off!

Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 8.06.08 AM

Nestled in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge on 7.5 acres of national park land, the Bay Area Discovery Museum draws children’s inquiring minds with a host of open-ended, hands-on exhibits modeled after the surrounding sea and city. By stimulating creative skills starting at an early age, the museum helps change the way the next generation learns and may contribute to the world. All activities and risk-friendly challenges are centered around fostering creativity as well as critical thinking and practical STEM skills.  We haven’t been but I’m looking forward to taking my kids!  Take advantage of this deal by going in a group of 6!

Alameda County Fair – Pleasanton – up to 40% off!

I am so excited to take the kids here this summer!  In addition to various musical acts (check their website http://www.alamedacountyfair.com for info) there will be:

  • In the action sports arena, catch a rodeo, a monster-truck rally, and a demolition derby
  • Live horse racing, included with admission
  • In the carnival midway, hop aboard dozens of different rides and win prizes playing games
  • On July 4th, watch a fireworks spectacular (Tip: the best viewing spots are at the Budweiser Grandstand at the horse-racing track.)

San Mateo County Fair – Up to 46% off

At San Mateo County Fair, visitors ring in the season in multiple ways. As they stroll the sprawling grounds, they can snack on various classic fair cuisines including BBQ, pizza, corn dogs, and funnel cakes. They can peruse a petting zoo, get dazzled by the Chinese Acrobats of Hebei, and witness a balloon artist twist his chosen medium into animals. Visitors can also catch concerts by renowned acts.

And don’t forget your Ebates – 6% back for Groupon purchases, and TopCashBack is 10% back for new customer purchases (5% back for existing customers).

I hope you guys all enjoy the kickoff of summer with some fun family adventures!  Remember to always look for discounts here on your favorite activities!  Let me know how you enjoyed these places!

Speaking of Double Poops…

My last post briefly mentioned that my kids decided to both poop at the same time just as I sat down to write.

Well that inspired me to go find some diapering coupons, so here you go.  All your diapering essentials in one place, ready to print.  Enjoy the savings for those poopy butts!

It even includes a $5.00 off coupon for diaper genie (great if you have a babyshower coming up, or if your Diaper Genie has seen better days, you all know what I’m talking about).

Happy savings,

Kim

Trades of Hope Sale

Have you heard of Trades of Hope?

It’s a company that partners with people all over the world (and right here in the United States) in an effort to empower them out of poverty and desperate circumstances.  These artisans are taught how to handcraft various items that are then sold in the United States.  The artisans are paid fair wages, according to Fair Trade practices (in fact, they are paid what they ask!).  They are also given the skills to build sustainable businesses for themselves, their families, and their communities.  Currently, Trades of Hope partners with artisans in the following countries:

Screen Shot 2017-04-12 at 2.25.22 PM.png

Right now Trades of Hope has a few items on sale which will be discontinued as soon as they are sold out.  You don’t want to miss this great deal, all the while helping others all over the world!

The Indian Ribbon Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  By creating these handmade products, the Indian artisans not only escape poverty, but they are getting job training so they can become self-reliant and independent. In addition to the sustainable business that comes from crafting products, these artisans are receiving welfare programs, training activities as well as crafts promotion and producer development. And for most, they are getting healthcare and education for their children for the first time in their lives!

The Exodus Necklace, originally $36.00 is now only $28.00.  The Indian artisans who make this necklace focus on providing education for the neediest children in their community. They have worked hard to raise enough funds to establish a school so that parents in their poor community won’t have to choose between working to provide basic needs for their families or sending their children to school. This group has given work to a multitude of women without sacrificing their desire for their children to have a bright and promising future.

Finally, the Glory Rose Gold necklace is a limited edition, on sale for $28.00.  Originally made with simple gold beading, the Indian Artisans have added the rose gold option, a beautiful choice.  They won’t last long, so get one before they’re gone!

Any of these pieces would make a perfect Mother’s Day, graduation, or birthday gift.  And you will feel great knowing that your purchase helped provide jobs, clothing, food, shelter, education, and safety for those suffering around the world.

Contact me if you’d like to know more about Trades of Hope and how you can get involved.  I’d love to talk to you about this wonderful company and the various charities and initiatives they partner with in addition to the artisans they are already impacting.

Happy savings,

Kim

Yankees and Mets Fans! (And you SF Giants fans on the West coast too ;) )

Here’s a little post dedicated (mostly) to my East Coasters.  I saw this deal on Groupon today and I couldn’t let it pass by without spreading the love to all of you!

Now anyone who knows us know that we named our first born Jeter.  That’s right, Jeter.  Our second is Jackson.  So you can say we’re pretty big fans of the NYY and all things east coast.  Even though we live on the opposite side of America today, we still “bleed blue.”  I remember going to my first Yankees game with my dad (a New Yorker, through and through) and loving the experience.  Since then I’ve been to several games and hope to take my boys to a game on the East Coast sometime in the future.

As jealous as I am of you who have the opportunity to go, I have to give you guys the heads up on these great ticket prices!

Yankees fans, here you go! Dates April 13-28, tickets starting at $27.80 a pop!

Screen Shot 2017-04-11 at 2.51.49 PM

Mets more your speed? Choose a game on April 23rd or 24th with tickets starting at $14.  I won’t even bad mad at you for going to a Mets game simply because this deal is too good to pass up.  Click here to take advantage of it!

Screen Shot 2017-04-11 at 2.43.04 PM.png

Ebates offers 6% cashback plus 20% off local.

TopCashBack offers 10% cashback but only if you’re a new Groupon customer (i.e. you don’t have a Groupon account yet) or 5% cashback if you’re an existing customer.

Choose the cashback deal that’s best for you.

Ok and fine, here’s some SF Giants games that you can score a good deal on as well. Starting at $10, who could say no? Games April 11th-15th.  Hurry because these deals won’t last!

Newest Coupons!

So everyone in my house is sick.  Everyone including my Macbook which is devastating because now I’m working on this old Dell from like 1980 (I exaggerate, but still) and it takes me 5 years to load ad page (again, exaggeration) and 12 more to link photos.  So, there’s no photos with this post, I’ll just keep it old school and list some of the great new coupons available to you on Coupons.com.

I got an email this morning and needed to share with you (I’ve been trying to write this post since 6 am. It’s now 8:15).  I can’t blame it all on this dinosaur of a computer.  A lot of it had to do with my oldest kid trying to inflate his brother with a bicycle tire pump (my husband was in charge for a few minutes this morning) and cleaning up the snot trails my littlest has lovingly left all over my house.

Anyway, here’s your newest household coupons.  You’re welcome 😉

Scrubbing Bubbles (a ton of varieties and different ways to save)

Windex

All Detergent

Quilted Northern Toilet Paper

Glad trash bags

Kleenex

And many many more.  Click here to have them loaded and ready to print for your next grocery outing.  Hopefully it’s solo (one can only dream) because as we speak my biggest is trying to climb into the oven.  Good thing it’s not on…. am I right?

Happy savings,

Kim
